What's the difference between soft washing and pressure washing?
Pressure washing uses force to blast dirt off hard surfaces. Soft washing uses low pressure plus cleaning solutions that kill mold, mildew and algae at the root. Anything porous or painted — roofs, stucco, siding, brick — should be soft washed. Blasting those surfaces with high pressure drives water behind them and strips paint.
Is soft washing safe for my roof?
Yes — it's the method roofing manufacturers actually recommend. High pressure tears granules off asphalt shingles and shortens roof life. Soft washing applies the solution at garden-hose pressure and lets the chemistry do the work.
Will the detergents hurt my plants or pets?
We pre-wet and rinse landscaping before and after, and we use plant-safe dilutions. Pets should stay inside while we work and can come back out once surfaces have dried.
Why does my north-facing wall get so much more mold?
